Earn · Points program

Use Venum.Earn points.

Every swap on swap.venum.dev, every API call, every RPC request through rpc.venum.dev or www-rpc.venum.dev, and every real-time event delivered through Venum accrues points on an off-chain ledger. Snapshots happen on a recurring cadence and reflect your standing on the platform at the cutoff. Early activity is worth materially more, and that advantage is permanent across every future snapshot.

No social tasks. No idle-stream gaming. No rewards for polling your own dashboard. Points are the receipt for actually using the product. 🪂

What earns

Ranked by per-unit reward.

Activity is rewarded in proportion to its real cost and value. Trading on-chain — which costs gas and slippage — earns most per unit. API and RPC usage earn less per request but accrue all day. Specific rates are not published; what matters is the relative order, which is fixed.

01Highest per-unit reward

Trade volume on swap.venum.dev

Swapping carries direct on-chain cost — gas, slippage, capital. Each landed swap accrues points proportional to its USD value. Volume is volume; there is no minimum threshold. Round-trips count.

02Paid tiers · API + RPC

Paid-tier API and RPC requests

Every successful request to the API (quote, swap, send, prices, pools, tx-tracking) and every RPC call routed through rpc.venum.dev or www-rpc.venum.dev earns. API requests reward more per call than RPC requests. Paid tiers earn more per day overall than the free tier — for users whose real usage already justifies the upgrade, the points accrue naturally on top of what they're already paying for.

03Free tier · API + RPC

Free-tier API and RPC requests

Free-tier callers earn from both API and RPC. RPC traffic on the free tier counts on equal footing with API traffic — both surfaces are first-class for earning, not gated to paid customers. The early-bird advantage applies on every tier.

04On-chain participation

Holding the Community Token

VENUM is live on Solana mainnet. Holdings tracked through your linked wallet count toward future snapshots. Holding during the early phase carries the same early-bird advantage as every other early activity, and that advantage is permanent. See /tokenomics for supply, distribution, and on-chain proof.

05Real-time stream traffic

Server-sent events delivered

Real-time streams (price feeds, transaction lifecycles, balance updates) reward events delivered to the client — not connection time. Streams that sit idle earn nothing. Active consumption of a real-time feed earns at a rate that sits between RPC and API.

06One-time per account

Signing up

A small one-time bonus on account creation. Subject to the same early-bird advantage as everything else, so accounts that sign up early get a meaningfully larger signup credit than accounts that sign up later.

How the program works

Long curve. Recurring drops.

· EARLIER IS WORTH MORE

A long-tail curve runs across the whole program

Activity in the earliest phase earns substantially more per action than the same activity later. The curve is long, decaying through several phases. Genesis activity carries that weight forward into every future snapshot — there is no reset.

· SNAPSHOTS ARE RECURRING

Recognition is recurring, not a one-off

Snapshots happen on a recurring cadence. Each one reads the points ledger at a cutoff and recognises the standing of every active user. Points are not reduced or reset by snapshots; balance keeps compounding into every future one.

· THE LEDGER IS AUDITABLE

Every event is a row

Every action that earns or deducts points produces an immutable ledger row. Your dashboard at /points/me shows the balance, the breakdown, and the recent events. Nothing is hidden in a black box scoring service.

· FAIRNESS GUARDS AT SNAPSHOT TIME

Cluster review and weighting curves

Each snapshot includes anti-sybil cluster review and weighting curves sized so no single wallet can dominate. Specific guard rules are published before each snapshot.

What does NOT earn

Honest about the non-rewards.

◆ NO POINTS

Polling your own dashboard

Calling /v1/usage, /v1/points/*, /v1/auth/*, or /v1/gateway/* is on the house. None of these meta endpoints earn anything — checking your balance shouldn't generate balance.

◆ NO POINTS

Idle streams

Opening a stream and walking away earns nothing. Streams reward events delivered to a client — empty streams produce zero events, and zero events produce zero points.

◆ NO POINTS

Rate-limited requests

Rejected requests earn nothing. Hitting the rate limit also costs a small amount — not enough to punish the occasional accidental burst, enough that careful clients outperform wasteful ones over time.

◆ NO POINTS

Social tasks

No "follow on X for 50 points" mechanics. Points are awarded for using the product — that's the whole loop. Anything else is farming bait.

FAQ

Common questions.

What are points?+

Points are a record of how much you have used Venum. They accrue automatically as you trade on swap.venum.dev, hit the API, and run real-time streams. The ledger is off-chain and visible in your dashboard. Points reflect your standing on the platform over time.

How do I start earning?+

Sign up for an API key and start using Venum. Trading on swap.venum.dev earns the most per dollar of activity; paid-tier API and RPC usage earns next; free-tier API and RPC usage earns less but is still rewarded. Idle behaviour and dashboard polling earn nothing.

Why does early activity matter so much?+

A long-tail curve runs across the whole program: activity in the earliest phase earns more than activity in the same form later. The advantage is permanent — points earned during the genesis phase carry their weight forward. Late joiners do not get a fresh genesis.

Why does trading earn more than API usage?+

Real on-chain swap activity has direct cost — gas, slippage, capital at risk. Rewarding it heavily aligns with the part of the program that drives actual value. API and RPC usage are still rewarded because they are real product use, just at a smaller per-action rate.

Does RPC usage really earn?+

Yes. Every RPC request routed through rpc.venum.dev or www-rpc.venum.dev counts toward points, on every tier including free. The per-request reward sits slightly below the API rate (RPC traffic is naturally higher-volume per session), and RPC counts on equal footing with API for the day's overall earnings.

Can I farm points by spamming requests?+

Not in any meaningful way. Spam runs into the rate limiter, and rejected requests earn nothing. Hitting the rate limit also takes a small amount off the day's earned balance — careful clients beat wasteful ones over time.

Is upgrading to a paid tier worth it just for points?+

If you're already running into the limits of the free tier, upgrading is a product decision first — you get the headroom and rate limits you actually need. The accelerated point earning is a side effect that comes naturally with that headroom. If your usage sits comfortably in the free tier today, there is no need to upgrade purely for points; the curve still rewards early activity at every tier.

What about opening a stream and walking away?+

Streams reward events delivered to the client, not connection time. A stream that is open for a day but receives no traffic earns nothing. The reward is for actually consuming a real-time data flow, not for parking a TCP connection.

What does NOT earn points?+

Following on social, joining a Discord, holding an API key without using it, polling your own dashboard, calling auth or settings endpoints, opening empty streams, or making swaps where the wallet pubkey or token price cannot be resolved. None of these earn anything.

How does each snapshot work?+

Final rules are set per snapshot. The snapshot reads point balances at the cutoff time and applies weighting curves with sensible guards (cluster review for sybils, ceilings to keep one wallet from dominating). Specifics will be published before each snapshot.

How do I receive what comes later?+

You will need to link a Solana wallet to your account before the first snapshot. Wallet linking is a one-time step inside the dApp — no fees, no friction. The flow is not live yet; it ships before the first snapshot. Earn points now and link the wallet when the feature is available; the points carry over.

Does holding the Community Token count?+

Yes. VENUM is live on Solana mainnet (mint venum8bXEakzg6eSQWikT51EoeuAsR51Wxn7JfQc4QX). Holdings tracked through your linked wallet accrue points over time. Holding during the early phase carries the same early-bird advantage as any other early activity, and that advantage is permanent. See the tokenomics page for the full supply, distribution, and on-chain proof.
